A nice walk in the woods is the Ellwell Trail and this cache provides another reason to go there. It is on the way up to the overlook at Big Sugarloaf Mountain.
Turn up Bear Mountain Road and turn left where Panorama Rd. goes to the right. You'll be on a dirt road that leads up a woody hill. Stop when you see a gated road. Park on the right. You'll have to continue on foot up the wide road. Look for the yellow blazes for the trail which goes off to the left. Follow this pretty trail which is well marked with yellow tree and rock marks.
Cache is hidden close to the trail but out of sight. It is a small container but big enough for small items and travel bugs. There's even a nice comfortable "seat" to sign the logbook.
