Geocache Description:

Come join us to celebrate the second annual International Geocaching Day! We'll be celebrating a great hobby from 12-3pm at RCA Community Park (formerly called Thompson Community Park) with a picnic potluck in the large shelter.

This is a great opportunity to meet new and more seasoned geocachers from around Indiana, get some tips for some geocaches you can't find, and find some new friends to go geocaching with. We have a lot of new geocachers in the area that started this summer that we'd like to welcome to our area!

Please list in your RSVP/cache note what you're planning to bring & how many people.
Don't have something to bring to share? Then just bring your own picnic lunch or McDonald's food for you and your family.

There is a playground for the kids next to the shelter and a very low terrain 1.54 mile Nature Trail for you to enjoy. I'm sure there might be a few new geocaches popping up in the area as well.

IU Students: We will set up a carpool from campus for those of you that would like to attend!

Directions for Out of Towners: From 37, take Tapp Road east, then turn left on Rockport Road and Left on Countryside Lane, and right on RCA Park Drive. RCA Park Drive is the first street on the right)

Directions from downtown Bloomington: Take Rogers St south, Turn right on Rockport Road, Right on Countryside Lane and then Right on RCA Park Dr. (RCA Park Drive is the first street on the right) This cache was hidden by a member of the Geocaching Club at IU and the Bloomington Geocachers. For more information about geocaching in the Bloomington area, please check out the website of either group. We host monthly events to find geocaches together.
