Hökälla är en våtmarkspark med ett rikt fågelliv, en av Sveriges artrikaste platser. En av de ovanligare fåglarna som synts här var en gåsgam som flugit vilse, vilket jag inte hoppas att du gör. Det finns även en del sällsynta växter, bland annat spetsnate och jättestarr.

Utmed stigarna finns skyltar med information om olika platser och vad man kan se. Området har gjorts i ordning i flera etapper och gångvägarna har successivt uppgraderats så att de håller bra standard och nu finns runt hela området. En promenad kan därför göras kort eller lång och företas såväl medurs som moturs, vilket som är mest lämpligt, och med stopp på ställen där du tycker det passar.

Hökälla is a wetland park with an abundance of birds, one of Sweden's most species-rich locations. One of the more unusual birds seen here was a griffon vulture that flew astray, which I hope you don't do. There are also some rare plants.

Along the trail there are signs with information about different places and what to see. The area has been prepared in several stages and pathways have gradually been upgraded so that they keep good standard and is now around the whole area. A walk can be short or long, and can be made either clockwise or counterclockwise, whichever is most appropriate, and with stops in places where you think it fits.
