This is a real geocache…and not a cheesy Light Pole Cache (LPC) or a frustrating micro on a bench. To quote a previous log: " This cache was a very nice old style hunt along a very scenic part of the New England coastline."
This cache is a .38 mile moderate hike along the shoreline from my Eagle Pointe Geocache (GC3WT7T). This area is only known to the local, locals and sits on a 25 acre town-owned recreation area on the west side of Spinney Creek. As you are hiking to the cache you will be using unmarked trails and occasionally walking along the shoreline, just keep the creek on your right.
The cache sits a little bit away from the old Imhoff Tank Reservoir which from what I can tell is now used as a fishing area. Please park in the recommended parking area as this is the best spot to start your hike.
You are looking for a well camouflaged waterproof container that is sitting in the crook of an older two trunk tree about 5 feet up. Be sure to re-hide and re-cover so it can’t be seen.
Be sure to bring your camera and enjoy the views!
