Tanssin taikaa - Pohjolan Pirtti Multi-Cache

Raittiusyhdistys Koiton komea Pohjolan Pirtti valmistui vuonna 1905. Siellä pidettiin säännöllisiä tansseja 1930-luvun alusta 1960-luvun loppuun saakka. 2000-luvulla Vallilan Tango -orkesteri on järjestänyt salissa vuosittaisia Isle of Sheep -tapahtumia.

Syyskuussa 2012 suuri joukko geokätköilijöitä kokoontui Pirtin luo juhlimaan Suomen ensimmäisen kätköilymiitin kymmenvuotissynttäreitä. Saattoipa jokunen osallistuja laittaa jalallakin koreasti. Lippu ainakin oli taustakuvan kertomalla tavalla korkealla.

Multikätkön alkupisteeltä löydät koordinaatit loppupurkille. Molemmat pisteet löytyvät helposti talvellakin. Kummallakin pisteellä ainakin naamioinnin voi nähdä koskematta mihinkään. Älä siis siirtele mitään aiheetta - varsinkaan muurikiviä. Varo ettei kätköpurkki tipahda.

Lammassaareen kuljetaan joko veneellä tai vastikään uusittuja poikkispuita (ei polkupyöriä) pitkin. Huomaathan, että saari sijaitsee keskellä Viikin-Vanhankaupunginlahden luonnonsuojelualuetta. Koirat tulee pitää kytkettyinä ja tarkassa valvonnassa. Ehdotettu pysäköintialue saattaa olla ajoittain täynnä autoja. Lähimmän bussipysäkin tiedot löytyvät täältä.

This two-stage multi-cache is located on the Lammassaari Island. From the listed location you'll find coordinates to the final box.

The cache was hidden in the aftermath of celebrating the 10^th anniversary of the first Event Cache held in Finland. For further information, please visit the related webpage. The great building at the first stage is called Pohjolan Pirtti. Until late sixties it was famous as a dancing place. Nowadays dancing in the hall of Pirtti is far more rare.

Both of the stages are winter-caching-friendly. And at least the camouflage of each of the steps may be seen without moving anything. At the first stage, there's no need to touch the stone wall. Be careful that the cache doesn't fall.

The new wider causeway (no bicycles allowed) to the island starts at the waypoint given below. Dogs must be leashed. Usually there are some free parking spaces at the given parking waypoint but people are encouraged to use public transport. Information on the nearest bus stop is found here.
