Park in the BNRC lot and walk across the highway to the dirt road. The road leads to a radio tower then turns into a four-wheeler/motorcycle/foot path. It can be muddy in spots but there are usually side trails to avoid the mud. Once you near the cache, use caution lest you take a tumble. This cache is not winter friendly, and should not be attempted at night or in dense fog.
This cache is placed to honor one of North Adams' great hang gliders. This was a favorite launching spot for Harpo, a world class Hang Glider pilot. Harpo was a true friend to many and is remembered as one who gave much and asked for nothing.
I hope you will take a moment to reflect on Harpo's gentle kindness and that this spot will move you to great heights - as it did Harpo.
Harpo left this world in July of 2010 after a brief, valliant battle with melanoma.
Container is a 2x4 lock 'n' lock with log and pencil and a couple of goodies. Captain Sal travel bug is hiding here after a long hiatus, and is anxious to see the world!
