[ITA] Una cache veloce nei pressi dell'antico Teatro Romano di Trieste.
[ENG] A quick cache near the ruins of the ancient Roman Theatre of Trieste.
[ITA] Il teatro romano di Trieste, risalente al I-II secolo d.C., si trova ai piedi del Colle di San Giusto, al limitare della Città Vecchia. Sulle sue gradinate, costruite anche sfruttando la naturale pendenza del colle, potevano venir ospitati circa 6.000 spettatori.
Nei secoli venne abbandonato e nascosto dalle case che vi furono costruite sopra. Ritenuto perduto, venne individuato nel 1800 dall'architetto Pietro Nobile e riportato alla luce nel 1938, nel corso della demolizione di una parte della Città Vecchia.
[ENG] The Roman theater of Trieste, dating back to the I-II century AD, is located at the base of the hill of San Giusto, on the edge of Old Town. On its flight of steps, built in part using the natural slope of the hill, around 6,000 spectators could be accommodated.
Over the centuries the theatre was abandoned and hidden by the houses that were built upon it. Considered lost, it was identified in 1800 by the architect Pietro Nobile and brought back to light in 1938, during the partial demolition of the Old Town.
[ITA] Le coordinate son piuttosto ballerine a causa della vicinanza dei fabbricati. La cache, comunque, e' ovviamente FUORI dall'area recintata.
[ENG] Coords bounce a bit due to the proximity to the buildings. The cache, however, is obviously OUTSIDE the fenced area.
