I juni 2012 besökte jag min tredje världsdel under min tid som geocachare och passade då på att logga några earth-cacher även där. När detta skrivs är datumet 2012-10-14 och det är den internationella earthcache-dagen. Vad passar bättre då än att placera ut en challenge på detta temat? Och då i nära anslutning till en av de få earth-cache som finns i Östergötland.
När du har hittat burken så är det ett ganska enkelt krav för att få loggen godkänd som "Hittad": Du behöver ha hittat earth-cache i minst 3 världsdelar. Har du inte det får du bara logga den som "Note" och komma tillbaka, för att skriva i loggboken igen, den dagen du har uppfyllt kravet.

När du loggar den så ange de tre cacher du vill använda (en per världsdel) enligt formatet:
Världsdel, Land/Region, Datum den loggades, GC-kod, Namn på geocache
Om du har flera att välja på så välj gärna en som du rekommenderar andra att besöka. Tja, du får gärna tipsa om fler om du vill.
Om jag skulle ha loggat ungefär som följer:
- Europa, Finland, 2012-03-31, GC292CG, Walking on Fossils
- Afrika, Egypten, 2010-11-15, GC2EGK8, Giftun
- Nordamerika, USA, 2012-06-06, GCZ5Z2, Blind Arch - Great Arch of Zion
Obs! Om det är oklart vilken världsdel en geocache hör till så är det statistikuppgifterna på din statistik på geocaching.com som gäller. Detta innebär att t.ex.
- Kanarieöarna hör till Europa då de står under Spanien.
- Azorerna hör till Europa då de står under Portugal.
- Hela Ryssland hör till Europa, även de Asiatiska delarna
- Hela Turkiet hör till Asien (men det verkar inte finnas någon Earth Cache i de europeiska delarna)
Några av de länder som jag inte vet vilken världsdel de hör till enligt kartsidorna på geocaching.com är t.ex Cypern, Falklandsöarna, ... men kolla på din statistiksida så får du reda på det.

Nedanstående checker kan användas för att verifiera denna utmaning, men jag tycker det är bättre att du väljer ut dina 3 earthcacher. Kanske den bästa från varje världsdel?

During June 2012 I visited my third continent during my time as a geocacher, and I took the opportunity to log my third earth cache continent. At the time of writing the date is 2012-10-14 and it is the international Earth Cache day. What better way to celebrate this than to publish a new challenge connected to this?
When you have located the geoCache container there is a rather simple requirement to be allowed to log "Found": You need to have found earth caches in at least 3 continents. If you have not you may log it as a "Note" and return again when you have completed the challenge.
This geoCache is one of several caches with challenges in the Östergötland state. A bookmark list with challenge caches within Östergötland can be found here.
When you log this on the net you should specify the three caches that you want to use, one per continent. Specify in your log the following for each earth cache:
Continent, Country/Region, Date you logged it, GC-code, Name of the geoCache
If you have several geoCaches to choose from, select one that you highly recommend others to visit. Of course, you are free to recommend more if you want.

Note! If the continent is unclear it is the maps in your statistics part at geocaching.com that is used. This means that for example
- The Canary Islands belong to Europe as they are in Spain.
- The Azores also belongs to Europe as they are in Portugal.
- The whole Russia belongs to Europe
- The whole Turkey belongs to Asia
Some of the countries that I do not know which continent they belong to according to the maps on the statistics pages at geocaching.com is for example Cyprus, The Falkland Islands, ... but check your statistics and you will know.
