Hochstuhl vom Süden / Veliki Stol from south / Stol iz juga
/SLO/ Stol (tudi Veliki Stol, nemško Hochstuhl) je gora, ki z 2236 metri predstavlja najvišji vrh Karavank. Čez njegov vrh in greben poteka državna meja med Republiko Slovenijo in Republiko Avstrijo. Na vrh je možno pristopiti po različnih poteh tako iz slovenske kot avstrijske strani. Enega pristopov iz Avstrije predstavlja celo zavarovana plezalna pot čez severno steno gore. Pristop iz slovenske strani je možen iz Valvasorjevega doma.
/E/ The Hochstuhl (Slovenian Veliki Stol) is the highest mountain (2237m) of the Karawanken (Slovenian Karavanke), they define the border between Austria and Slovenia.
You can reach the cache via various hiking trails, from Slovenian side you can start your trip at Valvasorjev-dom. One way take you on a via ferrata directly through the south face of Stol (ATTENTION: No hiking trail – special equipment and experience necessary!).
/D/ Der Hochstuhl (slowenisch Stol) ist mit 2237m der höchste Gipfel der Karawanken, diese bilden die Grenze zwischen Österreich und Slowenien. Auf der Kärntner Seite bricht er steil über eine ca. 500m hohe Wand in Richtung Bärental ab, auf der Oberkrainer Seite sind fast bis zum Gipfel steile Wiesenflanken.
Zum Gipfel gelangt ihr vom Bärental aus über markierte Wanderwege. Der etwas kürzere führt über die Klagenfurter Hütte, die andere über den Bärensattel und dann auf slowenischer Seite weiter. Alternativ ist vom Bärental auch der Anstieg über den Klettersteig möglich (ACHTUNG: Kein Wanderweg, Klettersteigausrüstung und Erfahrung notwendig!).
