On the morning of January 28th 2012, while I was waiting for Indra to score a 100% on the math test she was taking, I was thinking back to the Snaxx@Traxx event (GC34BC0) that we attended a few months prior. I was thinking what should we do for our own 1000th find and more importantly, WHEN were we going to actually find that many caches. We still only had a total of 322 finds after 2 years of caching and 1000 seemed so far away.
Since Indra was taking a math test at that moment, I started to think of the mathematics of 1,000 and quickly realized that 10 times 10 times 10 (103) = 1000 and that we still had about 11 months till Indra’s 10th birthday. We both agreed that we could do an average of 2 caches per day to reach 1,000 by her 10th birthday and therefore the “10-Cubed Event” was born.
Anyone that knows us also knows that every find was a joint team effort between Indra and myself. We never cache without the other so she has earned every single one of the 1,000 caches that has brought us to this party. To check on our current progress, click here.
