On the Fourth Day of Caching,
the Signal Gave to ME!
Four Park and Grabs,
Three Geo Dogs ,
Two DNFs
And a Pickle in a Pine Tree
NOTE: This cache is part of the Cookie Crumbles (GC3WF1C) Christmas Pickle Project.
Legend says the pickle is a symbol of good luck. Tradition has it that the pickle is the last ornament placed on the Christmas tree. The first child to find the pickle on Christmas morning was rewarded with an extra gift left by St. Nicholas. This tradition encourages children to appreciate all the beautiful ornaments on the tree, rather than rushing to see what Santa has left them.
12 New caches will be released (one per day) leading up to the Cookie Crumbles Event. If you are FTF on this cache, look around... as there is a pickle hidden within 20 feet of this cache in (usually) an evergreen tree. If you are FTF and find the pickle, please let folks know that you have it by posting a note in your log. If you are not attending the event, PLEASE leaving the pickle for someone else to find and post that in your log. Bring the pickle to the cookie crumbles event for a special prize/opportunity. LASTLY: If you are FTF on more than one of the 12 caches with a pickle please leave the pickle for the second-to-find and post that in your note. Only one pickle per team/family of cachers (even if each family member has a different cache name) will be allowed to turn in a pickle for a special prize/privilege. Note: There is a secret mini pickle (about 1/10th the size of the standard pickle) that will be hidden on one of the 12 days and the finder of the mini pickle will be awarded first prize... But we warn you, this one will not be easy to find and we are not telling which day it will be released.
