Geocache Description:

The cache is placed just below the summit of a high mountain in the centre of the island. The views are tremendous as the cache is placed at an altitude of 485 metres.  Please read the severe warnings below, getting to this cache is no pushover.

The cache is set high amongst the mountains, it is placed below the peak because the final ascent to the summit would be too dangerous to attempt without specialist equipment.
Now to the warnings. This cache is unsuitable for children of any age and proper hiking boots are essential. Only fit adults, experienced in rugged hill walking, should attempt the climb to the cache The gradual climb to the base of the mountain is relatively easy and the terrain is quite good. Once you start the serious climbing up to the cache things change dramatically, the climb is very steep, the terrain is trecherous and the mountain drops away dramatically behind you. Do not take getting to this cache too lightly, if you are familiar with my other caches then be warned this is in a different league in terms of fitness and care required (even when compared to The Peak). The descent is even worse than the ascent, much of it will involve sliding down on your bum, there is little bedrock.
If at any time you are not comfordable with the climb then turn back, it only gets worse the nearer you get to the cache.
If you are unsure whether to attempt this cache I would advise trying The Peak, if you feel uncomfordable with any part of The Peak then do not even think about doing The Seat.
And my usual warning: As with all walking in Fuerteventura, because of the rocky terrain, ALWAYS look where you place your feet, if you wish to admire the scenery, stop walking and plant your feet securely.
