História do Ténis:

History of Tennis:
The current game of tennis originated in the nineteenth century in England. However, many historians believe that the origin date the twelfth century, in France, yet used up his hand to hit the ball. At the end of the sixteenth century began to use rackets to hit the ball and the game began to be called "tennis", from Old French Tenez, which can be translated as "hold" or "receive". The game was popular in France and England, where it was practiced in places covered. Later, the game would be called "real tennis".
The oldest tennis tournament in the world, Wimbledon, was first held in London in 1877. This first edition generated a debate about the standardization of the rules of the sport.
Racket:
In 1583, the first racket comes with vertical stringing, like today, replacing the cross. The racket developed by Mitelli in 1675, has the longest cable in relation to the impact area. The appearance of the racquet with flat cable in 1891, helps to avoid the usual twists the wrist. In the late nineteenth century, a revolution happens in the format: the launch of the first models ovals. The area hit balls also renews itself. The tiny squares of stringing multiply. Inspired by Italian musical instruments, the racket of 1930 is presented with a new design.
Ball:
The great secret of the construction of tennis balls is an explosion: when the two halves of the ball are glued, a tablet nitrogen explodes inside, filling the gas ball to bounce it on the field.
After detonating this technique, simply paste the layer of felt - that the yellow lining the ball - and send it to quality control. In this part of the process, manufacturers eliminate the balls that do not bounce by the standards or who lose pressure very fast. Today, the production of high performance balls are spread around the world.
