PT – Estoi – Aldeia dos Almocreves – situa-se na zona de transição entre o Barrocal e a Planície Litoral e é sede da freguesia rural com o mesmo nome.
O espaço, onde se insere o Lavadouro Público de Estoi, está classificado como Monumento Nacional, uma vez que complementa a zona de proteção ao Palácio de Estoi. Engloba um dos chafarizes emblemáticos da Aldeia (Chafariz de Cima) e marca o arranque do percurso turístico em redor do Palácio.
A recuperação do lavadouro público foi uma obra de valorização do património da aldeia de Estoi, levada a cabo pela Junta de Freguesia local, com o apoio da Câmara de Faro.

The space, where the Public Washing Place is, is classified as a National Monument since it complements the protection zone to the Palace of Estoi. It encompasses one of the iconic Village fountains (Upper Fountain) and defines the start of the tourist trail around the Palace.
The recovery of the public washing place was a work of patrimony valorization of the village of Estoi, carried out by the local Parish Council, with the support of Faro Town Hall.
