Geocache Description:

Drive about 5 miles East of Lincoln, NH on Kancamaugus Highway. Turn left into parking lot just past Hastings Campground and over bridge.

Small cache located on The East Side Trail about .1 miles from parking lot. Go past cabin and take a right at next trail junction. A beautiful area in the White Mountain National Forest. Once you find the cache you can continue on the trail as it follows the Pemi River for a ways, veers away then returns to the river in about 1.5 miles.  There is a water crossing where Hurricane Irene washed out a culvert at about 2 miles.  Continue to follow the trail for 3 miles to the back country campground and wilderness boundary. You can also cross the river at the suspension bridge near the cabin and follow the beautiful Lincoln Woods Trail up to Franconia Falls for another cache. Should be good for kids and dogs but watch them around the water. Should be able to find in winter. Collectible geocoin for FTF also a Travel Bug Origins United States that needs to get started on it's journey. Various other swag items. All vehicles must display a WMNF recreational pass to park here. There is a self service kiosk where you can buy a daily pass for $3.00.
