Geocache Description:

The cache is placed below the peak of a small volcano. The views are superb.

The climb up to peak and beyond to the cache is steep in a couple of places but on the plus side the terrain is not too bad. There is plenty of bedrock so from the parking place keep to the left of the visable track and hunt out the bedrock.
The hike can be managed in trainers although walking boots are obviously prefered.
The hike is suitable for children but they need to be supervised.
It is difficult to find the start of the road from Corralejo, known as the crater route, so here's how to find it.
Ask locally for the CD Corralejo football ground.
From there head to the Estrella del Norte roundabout (wth the sailing boat sculpture).
From there head towards the quarry with the white guard's box in front.
By the pylon turn right onto the unmade road of an unbuilt housing development (no houses).
Go along the road (very bumpy) until you see, higher up on your left, a large square white building.
Turn left onto the road that runs beside it, initially it is steep and very rough but quickly improves.
Just keep going along this road to the parking place.
The views as you travel along this road are superb.
Tamarindo 90210 is nearby and you can continue along the road to The Quarry.
If you fancy a longer walk here are a couple of options.
After finding the cache return to the peak and walk down the ridge to the right and climb up to the next peak, following the wall. Walk down from this peak, keeping the wall on your left and return to the parking place via the road.
Alternatively, from Corralejo, find the cache GC3VZ34 The Table, then find GC2EYKQ Vulcano and finish with this cache. With a car the three climbs should take about three hours to achieve.
