This is the first part of a multi-cache.
Start:-
In the Barrio de Calderona, near Santa Fe de Mondújar, is the start of the ‘Road to Nowhere’ as described in walk 5.9 of ‘Espacios Naturales del Bajo Andarax’ by Enrique Segura Reche. (visit link)
Park by Sondeo 2 at N 36° 58.451 W 002° 31.273.
Walk up into the pueblo passing Cortijo Mi Abuela Paca, take the left past more houses and noisy dogs (not a problem) and continue up the dirt track to where the road wall begins. Follow this pleasantly along the ridge. The pointed hill ahead is El Picacho.
Look out for the beautifully inscribed cement plaque on the side of the wall:-

Further ahead at N 36° 59.210 W 002° 31.311, the main track goes left down to the Rambla de Santa Fe (a possible return route), but we must take the small rough track on the right up to the right side of the tall wall ahead. Now follow the road walls until you arrive at GZ, to the left of the obvious cairn.
The cache contains a few swap items PLUS the co-ordinates for the larger cache near the top of El Picacho .. only 10 minutes further up the hill.

Sube la camino pasiando el Cortijo Mi Abuela Paca, y gira a la izquierda pasiando mas casas y los perros muy ruidos (pero no problema). Sigue el comino de tierra al principio del muro de la “carretera”. Anda en la cuesta agradablemente. El cerro puntiagudo en frente esta El Picacho. Mira para las letras preciosas inscribadas en el muro:-

Mas adalante en punto N 36° 59.210 W 002° 31.311, el camino baja a la izquierza a la Rambla de Santa Fe (una vuelta posible), pero nuestra ruta esta un sendero pequeño por la derecha, subiendo al lado derecho del muro alto. Sigue los muros hasta GZ, a la izquierda de la torre de piedras.
Esta cache tiene unas cosas pequeñas ADAMAS las coordinates del cache mas grande en el cumbre del Picacho ... solo 10 minutos mas.
