Geocache Description:

Baker is a familiar name around here. This cemetary is full of Bakers. The old schoolhouse up the road is known as the Baker Schoolhouse and the next road is the Baker Cross Road. This cemetary is owned by Bakers.

When I was just a little bit younger (it seems) I had to walk down to the four corners to catch the school bus. Our shortcut took us through the cemetary and practically right over the cache hiding spot. Funny how there's absolutely no sign of the trail that used to go down the hill.

Youi will travel the same route I used to take. While you could climb the hill from below, you may find it easier to access from the top. You might have to do some clambering to access the cache. The cache is not in the cemetary. You will be looking for a small, round, camo'ed four-tab container. It may be hard to find when there is a certain amount of snow.

I find it interesting looking through the cemetary. The oldest stone I can find is from 1791, which is the same year the house I grew up in was built. The builder of that house is buried here too, Capt. Jedediah Ashcraft; he made it to 1848. Many other neighborhood names lie here, both from long ago and more recently.

This cache is being placed in conjunction with the celebration of 12-12-12.
