Last October the West End Farm Trail officially opened, and I was a bit surprised to see a portion of the trail ran from the end of the bicycle path in Hopkinton to Dimond Hill Farm in Concord. Even more surprising was the complete absence of geocaches, so I decided to make a geocaching power trail of sorts and hide caches ~0.13 miles apart from one end to the other.
I was struggling to come up with a theme until just recently when our dear cocker spaniel Indie passed away. Just last week Indie helped me place the first 5 caches on the trail, so I decided to name these caches in her honor.
The first cache in this series is located at the trailhead, which I must say is a slightly dicey spot! By car you can only access the trailhead directly by using Exit 3 from RT 89N. I have added parking coordinates and recommend you use those instead! However please be extra careful with the short 0.13 mile walk to the trailhead as you will have to cross entrance and exit ramps. I placed these caches in the winter so I suggest following the snowmobile tracks from the parking spot to the trailhead.
