Last October the West End Farm Trail officially opened, and I was a bit surprised to see a portion of the trail ran from the end of the bicycle path in Hopkinton to Dimond Hill Farm in Concord. Even more surprising was the complete absence of geocaches, so I decided to make a geocaching power trail of sorts and hide caches ~0.13 miles apart from one end to the other.
I was struggling to come up with a theme until just recently when our dear cocker spaniel Indie passed away. Just last week Indie helped me place the first 5 caches on the trail, so I decided to name these caches in her honor.
I included parking coordinates if you choose to park at Dimond Hill Farm and work your way south. There is a parking area reserved for trail users; the entrance is just south of the main building.
The twelfth cache in this series is located along the portion of the winter trail where the snow shoe, ski and snow mobile trails are together. Heading south look to your right for a geo-obvious landmark sticking out like a sore thumb!
