Comportas onduladas leva-o a um sítio perto da central de Montargil que é onde começa o canal de rega que faz parte da obra do vale do Sorraia.
Estas comportas servem para fazer a separação canal/rio sor.
Quando a albufeira esta na sua capacidade máxima é aberta a comporta do rio e fechada a do canal sendo assim faz a descarga para o rio o caudal máximo para o rio é de 20m3 por segundos e o caudal máximo para o canal passa para 8m3 por segundo.
Estas comportas ja têm mais de 50 anos e são manobradas manualmente.
No mesmo local pode-se ver o descarregador de superfície na outra margem.
Se tiver sorte pode encontrar o owner e o mesmo se tiver hipótese mostra-lhe a central a trabalhar.
Floodgates Wavy.
Floodgates Wavy takes you to a site near the central Montargil that's where it starts the irrigation canal that is part of the work of the Sorraia valley.
These gates serve to make the separation channel / river sor.
When the reservoir at full capacity this opens the gate of the river and the canal closed so does the discharge into the river the maximum flow of the river is 20m3 per second and the maximum flow rate for the channel switches to 8m3 per second.
These gates have already more than 50 years and are operated manually.
On the same site you can see the spillway surface on the other side.
