The highest point of Nagykõrös is the Sentry-heap (Strázsa-halom) which is found in the Nagyerdõ (Big woods) outside the town. Those who know this part of the country can hardly imagine that such hills can be found around here.
To get here take Route No. 5 or the motorway M5 (pay toll!) to Lajosmizse, there turn to the direction of Nagykõrös, then before reaching the 73 km milestone (N 47° 3.52' E 19° 43.067') turn left to a dirt road leading into the forest. Follow this road and at N 47° 3.598', E 19° 43.596' turn left. Continue to N 47° 3.765' , E 19° 43.192'. Here turn right and continue. The last crossing is at N 47° 4.285', E 19° 43.665' here turn lest and the road will take you to Sentry-heap (Strázsa-halom). Its coordinates are N 47° 4.481' , E 19° 43.546'.
Look for an "interesting" tree, the box (a nice large one) is buried at its foot.
