As you cross over the Winnipesaukee River on one of the few remaining wrought/cast iron bridges in the country (less than 100 left in the country, and possibly only remaining one in New Hampshire) you are greeted by a beautiful bridge over to a pretty island amid a gorgeous view of the river! Take a walk around the island to discover its secrets!
To prove you've enjoyed your tour of the island (or at least gone through the motions), email these three things (Don't post them here, even if encrypted):
1) Name of the bandstand (a plaque is attached in their honor)
2) Year associated with "J.W. Ladd To C.E. Tilton"
3)NO LONGER REQUIRED - I have been told it may have been moved. There is a large flat & round stone embedded in the ground - describe its center. Note: this rock may not be on the island, but you can easily see the island from it...
Good luck!
You may log your find after you email me your answers. If they are incorrect - I will contact you and delete your entry. This way folks don't have to wait a couple days for me to email approval before they log the find. Thanks, dlv Placed by huggy_d1 (adopted by dlv 11/2004).
