Watching the sunset from this special place really "Rocks"!
Its a virtual cache... you will need to make an observation about a detail along the way to verify your visit.
This is a bench near a point of rocks which is a favorite place of ours and one we'd like others to experience. Watching the sunset from here is always rewarding. Waves crash on the rocks in spectacular manner, often sending up large sprays of white foam. Sea birds are abundant. Flights of pelicans sweep overhead, or out between the swells so gracefully. Sea otters can often be seen in the waters around the rocks.
The lighthouse is in the other direction... at about 105 degrees. On evenings near the full phase of the moon, it is possible to watch the sunset in the west and the moon rise behind the lighthouse in the east at almost the same time.
