The purpose of this meet is to swap trackables that have a purposeful goal - to hook up trackables with cachers who are headed towards those destinations.
Have you ever grabbed a trackable from a cache in Wisconsin and brought it home to Minnesota, only to discover that its goal was to get to Chicago? Have you ever gotten a trackable with the goal of getting to California a week before heading off to DC? You think "If only I know someone who is heading to California..." Instead, you're stuck trying to figure out how you can possibly get it where it needs to go when you are going in the opposite direction.
That's where I was inspired to create this event. This summer I'm heading to Hungary, and after that, I'll be heading to Florida. I know a few cachers are heading up to Michigan for Memorial Day. And I know just about everyone goes on vacation throughout the summer, so I thought prior to all of our travels, maybe we could meet and swap trackables with cachers who are traveling towards those destinations. If you have trackables that need to go to Europe, give them to me, and I'll take them with me. Are you heading out West? I have some trackables that you can take and move out that direction.
And if nothing else, it's a chance to get together and talk about our summer vacation plans, discover trackables, and have some social gathering fun.
The event will be held at Umbria Pizzeria at 521 W 98th S in Bloomington on May 13, 2013 at 6:00 PM.
