The posted coordinates are for the Woodland Lodge, the main location for the 2013 Turtle Fest on Saturday, June 15 2013.
Turtle Fest activities being at 10:00am and close at 3:00pm. There will be many family friendly activities throughout the park including: geocaching, minnow races, a fishing derby, bouncy house, arts and crafts, music, mountain biking and more. Make sure to come early and stay late!
GeoCachers will be meeting at the Concessions building directly across from the front endtrance of the Woodland Lodge during the hours of the event. It is a come and go type of event.
Volunteers will be present to help you learn about geocaching, or hone your skills. If you have a handheld GPS unit please bring it to the event. There will be a number of temporary caches.
If you have logged the the permanent caches in the park before, they will be changed before this event and may be logged again.
We will need a few volunteers to help with the cache hunt. Essentially we need folks to take new cachers out on the trails and show them the ropes.
Also we will try to have a new cache that will be published and the coords announced during the event.
