Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge north of the town of Ridgefield WA
This stash is located in the Ridgefield wildlife refuge. It is the old Carty family homestead that was donated to the Federal Parks a few years ago. The sign at the entry says NO Pets, so the dogs have to stay home, too bad. This could be an adventure, as the area is very large and the trails criss-cross all over the place. But, GPS is pretty good now and this is supposed to be a hunt, so at this time the coordinates , the name, and the fact that a trail leads to it, are all I’m giving up . It is a cammo covered ammo can and is hidden and covered. PLEASE REPLACE AS FOUND !! There is sometimes a lot of traffic on the trails so be sneaky. Bring binoculars if you like watching Eagles and such as there is a lot of wildlife to see. Also , as you leave ,take note of the small brick building in the NE corner near the road. It is the birthplace of the U-HAUL business, where the first trailers were built. It was originality located on the other side of the tracks. This is really a new cache, so if you have logged it before, you can log it again. Please use caution around the site, POISON OAK is all around the area !!!
