Geocache Description:

One of a set of small, family orientated caches placed to memorialize the great Physicists of the past.

Albert Einstein (1879 – 1955) was a German-born theoretical physicist who developed the theories of Special and General Relativity, effecting a revolution in Physics. For this achievement, Einstein is often regarded as the father of Modern Physics and one of the most prolific intellects in human history. He received the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics for his accomplishments in theoretical physics, and especially for his explanation of the law of the Photoelectric Effect. This work was pivotal in establishing Quantum Theory within physics, but was only one of four major discoveries he published in 1905 while working at the Swiss Patent Office (The Annus Mirabilis).
