Natick Town Forest Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Team Bailey!: It appears the cache is missing, and I'm no longer in the area to maintain it, so I think it's time to archive this cache.

I'd also like to thank GreyHen for keeping it going for a while after I moved. If not for them it already would have been archived.

I hid it long ago when I first started caching, it had a good run!

Geocache Description:

This cache is located in the Natick Town Forest accessible off of Oak Street just south of Rt 9.

There are several other entrances to the forest, most are hard to find with little parking.

Thanks to WaldenRun for upgrading the cache from a logbook to a square tupperware-type container. It should contain several trinkets. You'll have to visit it and see for your self. ;)

mredden supplied the following information about the cache area: According to a book I own, "Trolleys Along the Turnpike", The main trail by this cache was once part of a private right-of-way for the Natick Branch of the Boston to Worcester trolley line which ran along the present day Rte. 9. The branch ran from Natick Junction, which was the junction at Rte. 9, to the common in the center of Natick. Trolleys operated over the branch between 1908 and 1928.

Now you can have a little history with your geocaching. Have fun!
