A idéia para esta cache surgiu quando estava olhando para as muitas fotos que tirei fazendo geocaching. Em muitas delas a minha cadela Nana pode ser vista, porque quase sempre nos acompanhou na caça ao tesouro, falésias, colinas, longas distâncias ou água, ela está sempre lá e se tornou uma verdadeira Geocadela, um Cão d' Água Português, raça que esteve até há pouco tempo quase extinta. E tudo começou há alguns anos atrás, muito antes de eu descobrir o geocaching, como habitualmente a caminho do trabalho muitas vezes passeava ao longo da Avenida de Lagos e da sua ribeira. Um passeio agradável, desfrutando da brisa do mar e dos primeiros raios de sol do dia, encontrando quase sempre pelo caminho,aquela hora, as mesmas pessoas.
Um dia, na primavera de 2006, eu vi uma cadela deitada no pequeno muro junto ao rio, um cão bonito com o pêlo preto, um pouco ondulado e comprido, foi amor á primeira vista com aquela linda cadela. O seu proprietário disse-me que era um Cão de Água Português e em casa, à noite, fui procurar na internet e encontrei muita informação. A partir daquele dia em que nos conhecemos todas as vezes em minha pequena caminhada, ela me via ao longe e vinha na minha direção abanando a cauda para me cumprimentar e claro ganhar um biscoito. Num desses dias em pleno verão o seu proprietário disse-me que ela estava grávida e me prometeu que eu podia escolher um filhote da ninhada, o que aconteceu em Setembro 2006: A Nana nasceu e desde esse dia acompanha-me para todo o lado.

I got the idea for this cache looking at the many photos I have taken since I picked up geocaching. On many of them my dog Nana, a Portuguese water dog that almost always accompanied us on our treasure hunts and which has become the perfect cachedog, can be seen. It doesn't matter if it's cliffs, hills, long distances or water, she's always with us and enjoying herself. A few years ago (long before I discovered geocaching), my way to work often led me along the Avenida of Lagos and the harbour entrance. It's a nice walk where you mostly get to meet the same people and you can enjoy a fresh breeze coming in from the atlantic ocean or the first sunshine. One day in the spring of 2006 I met a man and his dog, who was lying relaxed on the small wall at the river. It was a beautiful dog with long, black and slightly curly hair. I instantly fell in love with that beautiful dog. Her owner told me that it is a Portuguese water dog and as soon as I got home that evening, I started looking for information about these dogs on the internet and found lots of information. From that day on, we met almost every time on my little walk. I saw her from a distance and she came towards me with her tail wagging, not only because she liked me, but also because I always had a treat for her.In midsummer, her owner gave me the good news. She was pregnant, and he promised me I could pick a puppy for myself from the litter. In September 2006 Nana was born, and she has been accompanying me every step of the way since she was old enough to leave her nursery.

Die Idee zu diesem Cache kam mir beim Betrachten der vielen Fotos, die ich im Laufe des Geocachings machte. Auf vielen ist meine Hündin Nana zu sehen, ein portugiesischer Wasserhund, die uns fast immer bei der Schatzsuche begleitet, und sich zum perfekten Cachedog entwickelt hat. Egal ob Steilküste, Hügel, lange Wege oder Wasser, sie ist immer dabei und geniesst es.Ihr und ihrer Rasse, die bis vor gar nicht langer Zeit vom Aussterben bedroht war, ist diese kleine Serie von drei Caches gewidmet. Vor einigen Jahren ( lange bevor ich Geocaching entdeckte) führte mich mein Weg zur Arbeit oftmals entlang der Avenida von Lagos bzw. entlang der Hafenzufahrt, ein schöner Spaziergang, auf dem man meistens die gleichen Leute traf und eine frische Atlantikbrise oder die ersten Sonnenstrahlen geniessen konnte.
Eines Tages im Frühjahr 2006 begegnete ich einem Mann und seinem Hund, der ganz entspannt ausgestreckt auf der kleinen Mauer am Fluss lag, ein wunderschöner Hund mit schwarzem, leicht gelocktem und langem Fell. Ich verliebte mich sofort in diese schöne Hündin. Ihr Besitzer erklärte mir, dass sie ein portugiesischer Wasserhund ist, abends zuhause machte ich mich natürlich sofort auf die Suche im Internet und fand viele Informationen. Von diesem Tag an trafen wir uns fast jedes Mal auf meinem kleinen Spaziergang, schon von weitem sah ich sie und sie kam mir wedelnd entgegen, natürlich auch um ihr “Leckerchen” abzuholen. Im Hochsommer dann die freudige Nachricht: Sie ist schwanger! Und ihr Besitzer versprach mir, dass ich mir einen Welpen aussuchen durfte, und im September 2006 war es dann soweit: Nana wurde geboren, und sie begleitet mich auf Schritt und Tritt seit sie ihre Kinderstube verlassen konnte.
