This wetland reserve was developed by the Burlington International Airport as part of a mitigation process. It is managed by the Winooski Valley Park District. There are trails that wind through marshy areas. There are signs of coyote and bobcat here! And the frogs! Oh, the frogs! The cacophony of croaks and rounds of ribbits surround you and it feels like they are about to ambush you.
Many years ago when i first started geocaching there was a cache or two in the adjoining woods. But time and weather took it's toll and the caches went away. Be careful of the indiginous plants and critters and Enjoy! You only have to step off the trail about 3 feet to retrieve this cache. The trails are mushy, soggy, and, in some places, slightly underwater. But it is passable everywhere that I went. Just be prepared to get your feet wet.
