The "Underwater Interpretive Trail" in the Murter channel in Tisno is the first such trail in Croatia. It consists of a number of observation points that are marked with a buoy below which there is an underwater educational panel.
The trail has been set up by the Public Institution of Protected Natural Values in Sibenik-Knin County, in cooperation with the municipality of Tisno. The aim of setting up the underwater interpretive trail is to learn more about different types of marine species and to raise awareness of the importance of their protection and preservation.
Important note about cache availability:
The panels are taken out of the water for the winter season for cleaning, as otherwise they get too overgrown by algae. I do not know the dates they are removed and placed back, usually they should be back before the summer season starts (around May or June). The cache itself is there all year round, if you want to look for it out of season, drop me a message beforehand for an extra hint.
The cache
The cache is not hidden at the given coordinates. However, you do need to go to this location which is actually in the water. You must be able to swim (it's not very far and the sea is usually quiet here in the channel), and you will need some goggles to be able to read the underwater panels (unless you are a fish and able to read under water). You do NOT need to dive or need any diving equipment - simple swim goggles will be enough. A snorkel would be ideal for easier reading but not absolutely required. You can get all that cheap in the nearby town. Alternatively, an underwater camera should do the work too.
There are four easy questions to answer - one you will be able to answer before entering the water, for the other three you will need to see the panels. I made them as easy as possible so that you don't have to carry pen and paper or any other tools in the water - just need to remember three numbers.
A: How many panels total?
B: Which panel shows Sea Urchins?
C: Which panel shows Sponges?
D: Which panel shows Fish?
Now you can leave the water and calculate the coordinates of the final cache:

(just add the numbers for each digit.. no multiplications)
The final cache is about 25m above sea level. To get there, you should find a trail going uphill (no need to scramble up randomly). The trail would have a terrain value of maximum 2 - better wear some shoes for the final area. The cache is not too far from the trail.

Willkommen zum "Unterwasser-Lehrpfad" von Tisno. Um diesen Cache zu finden, müsst ihr ins Wasser und ein paar Unterwasser-Infotafeln finden, und dann zum Cache, der ca. 25m höher im Gelände liegt. :)
Der Unterwasser-Lehrpfad im Kanal zwischen dem kroatischen Festland und der Insel Murter ist der Erste dieser Art in Kroatien. Er besteht aus ein paar Beobachtungspunkten, die jeweils mit einer Boje markiert sind, an der eine Informationstafel unter Wasser angebracht ist. Die Informationen darauf sind jeweils nur in englisch und kroatisch vorhanden, die Fragen sind aber so einfach gestellt, dass man sie auch ohne Fremdsprachen-Kenntnisse beantworten beantworten können sollte ;)
Wichtig:
Die Unterwasser-Tafeln werden über Winter aus dem Wasser genommen, weil sie sonst von Algen überwachsen werden und damit sie gereinigt werden können. Ich weiss leider nicht wann sie entfernt und wieder angebracht werden. Normalerweise sind sie zu Beginn der Sommersaison wieder da (Mai/Juni). Der Cache selbst ist das ganze Jahr auffindbar. Falls Ihr ihn in der Winterzeit suchen wollt, könnt Ihr mir vorher eine Nachricht schicken um einen Zusatzhinweis zu erhalten.
Und nun zum Cache
Parkplätze in Tisno sind kostenpflichtig, ihr braucht Kleingeld für den Automaten!
Der Cache ist natürlich nicht an den obigen Koordinaten, aber ihr müsst trotzdem genau dorthin, ins Wasser. Dafür müsst ihr schwimmen können (es ist nicht sehr weit und das Meer ist normalerweise sehr ruhig hier, also muss man kein Profi-Schwimmer sein). Ihr braucht aber eine Schwimm- oder Taucherbrille, damit ihr die Unterwasser-Tafeln lesen könnt. Ihr müsst NICHT tauchen, also keine Sauerstoff-Flaschen etc. mitbringen ;) Ein Schnorchel wäre hingegen nützlich, um in Ruhe lesen zu können - geht aber auch ohne. Und in Kroatien sind Plastik-Schuhe fürs Wasser nie schlecht (wegen spitzen Felsen und Seeigeln), geht hier aber auch ohne, da es einen recht einfachen Einstieg mit Treppe gibt. All dies gibt es günstig in Tisno zu kaufen. Eine Unterwasser-Kamera wäre wohl auch ne Möglichkeit, die Tafeln zu lesen...
Vier einfache Fragen sind zu beantworten - eine am Land und drei im Wasser. Sie sind absichtlich sehr einfach, damit man sich die drei Zahlen im Wasser merken kann, ohne mit Papier und Kugelschreiber zu schwimmen ;)

B: Welche Tafel erklärt Seeigel und -Gurken?
C: Welche Tafel zeigt Schwämme?
D: Welche Tafel erzählt von Fischen?
So, jetzt habt ihr bereits alles, was ihr für den Final benötigt. Also kurz von der anstrengenden Schwimmtour erholen und dann die folgenden Zahlen einfüllen:
N 43° 47. (D) (A+C) (B+D)
E 015° 38. (B+C+D) (D) (A+B)
(jeweils addieren für eine Ziffer, keine Multiplikation)
Der Final liegt etwa 25m höher. Es gibt einen Weg rauf, man muss also nicht quer durch das Gelände hoch. Der Weg zum Cache ohne Wasser-Teil hätte eine Gelände-Wertung von höchstens 2 oder 2.5 - nicht unbedingt barfuss zu empfehlen, aber mit Sandalen etc. machbar.

Edukativna podmorska staza u Murterskom kanalu prva je takva staza u Hrvatskoj. Sastavijena je od neke točaka (mjesta promatranja). Svaka točka je obilježena plutačom ispod koje se nalazi podmorska ploča edukativnog sadržaja. Cilj postavljanja podmorske staze je bolje upoznavanje različitih oblika žlvota u moru te podizanje svijesti o važnosti njihove zaštite i očuvanja
