Geocache Description:

First in the Bored of Shopping series ~ The cache is not at the posted coordinates

Having lived parts of my life minutes from each side of the state line and having shopped at the mall for most of my life, this area has always fascinated me.  In particular the state line.

At GZ you will find a stone marker at the state line.  If you look east or west you can actually see the state line as it has been 'cut' into the pavement of the parking lot.  Looking east, you'll also notice that the corner of an anchor store has been chopped off allowing the entire store to be in tax-free New Hampshire (someone made a big mistake!).  If the corner hadn't been removed, Massachusetts planned on making the retailer charge sales tax for all product sold in the building. People often think of the mall as being in Nashua, NH, and the physical structure is, but you'll be in Tyngsborough, Massachusetts before you hit the parking lot if you exit the mall's south side entrances!

In order to find the cache, you will have to answer a few questions about the location ~ some you will probably have to look up.

The cache coordinates are N42 AB.CDA W71 BC.CBE

The final destination is just over a half mile away but give yourself ample time (particularly if you're not familiar with Daniel Webster Highway). If you just dropped off the rest of your family AND have already figured out the coordinates, I would give yourself a minimum of 30 minutes to complete the round trip and find because of the traffic on Daniel Webster Highway (more on weekends and during the holidays).

A - is equal to the number of stop signs and light posts within the landscaped planter/island that is home to parking lot sign F4.
B - is equal to the number of trees taller than 10 feet directly in front of the chopped corner of the building
C - Massachusetts was the ___th state to enter the union.
D - ONE
E - New Hampshire was the ___th state to enter the union.

This puzzle cache crosses two states (which side of the line are you now?). It will be logged as a find in Massachusetts

Congratulations to ~ Bill the Cat 89 ~ for being first to find!
