Geocachers are in a Unique position as we are 'Out and About' most days pursuing our hobby. There are hundreds of fantastic caches with fantastic views in some Gloriously Remote Places. So, it could be YOU that is the 'First to See' a Forest Fire !!
Here is what to do:- 'Mark your position' on your Gps
Note down the Distance to the fire and the Direction (ie NE etc).
Assess your own Safety and get somewhere SAFE quickly....it could be your car or the nearest Road out...
Whilst you are moving towards safety....... Dial 112 and ask for Brifor, then give them all the information that you have collected

You could be helping to save someones life
