First, Second and Records (Taranaki) Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

knees'n'things: Although the cache is still in place as far as I know, there is no longer any easy access to the Boar's Head Mine track. It's highly likely that the track has overgrown now.

Sadly, I am going to have to archive this one.

Geocache Description:

2 litre Systema container in a camoflaged bag.

“Gleeps, Jupe” Pete said, lowering the pages of notes he had been reading. “This latest case is a real brain buster. What do you make of it?”

Jupiter put down the magnifying glass through which he had being studying a number of photographs, and swivelled his creaky office chair towards Pete. “I believe I am progressing well” he replied. “Despite its apparent complexity, it consists of a number of separate ciphers, codes and puzzles. Using the experiences we gained whilst on the extremely frightening path of peril and also investigating that groaning cavern as well as the case regarding the psittacoid with the speech impediment, and that of the roaming troglodyte, we should soon have the southern coordinate.”

He noted the look on Pete’s face. “Are you alright, Second?” he queried. Pete groaned softly. “Could you please use shorter words?” he pleaded. “Sitter what? Speech impediment? Are you talking about the Case of the Stutt …” He was interrupted by the sudden opening of the trapdoor in the floor and the subsequent appearance of Bob’s beaming face.

“Hey fellows” Bob called excitedly, levering himself through the opening. He thrust a hand into the satchel he was carrying and produced a sheaf of papers, which he waved triumphantly. “I found some really interesting stuff at the library. Have a look at this.” He handed the other two a copy each, then sat impatiently while they read.

“Excellent work, Records” Jupiter told him as he finished reading the last page. “This will certainly advance our investigation. If you remember the case of the musically vocal snake, and that of the ocean leviathan that was abducted for ransom, together with the adventure involving the gem known as the incendiary ocular organ; when we put all that together we can get to the point,” Jupiter paused in his lecture to draw breath “when nothing” he continued “but the cases regarding the argent arachnid and the softly speaking Egyptian will prevent us from identifying the eastern coordinate.”

To what is Jupiter referring? Can you identify the cases and the coordinates and beat the boys to the treasure?
