Águas de Ferreira - Praça Santa Maria Madalena

Esta cache faz parte de uma série de caches que pretendem mostrar as várias fontes de Ferreira do Alentejo. A praça Santa Maria Madalena situa-se no centro da vila e, tratando-se de um espaço amplo, contempla uma fonte de grandes dimensões com inúmeras bicas. A praça estende-se à Capela do Calvário (conhecida como "Igrejinha das Pedras" entre os ferreirenses), que se trata de um pequeno templo singular no nosso país, pelas características invulgares. A praça é habitualmente palco de vários espectáculos, tais como teatros, festas ou actuações de grupos corais. No dia-a-dia, é frequentada pela população local, que aproveitam para descansar.

Waters of Ferreira - Santa Maria Madalena Square

This cache is part of a series of caches that are intended to show you the various fountains of Ferreira do Alentejo. Santa Maria Madalena Square is located in the center of the town, and since it is an ample space, it has a fountain of large dimension. The square extends until the Calvário Chapel (known as the "Little Rocks Church" by the locals), which is a small and unique temple of our country, due to its peculiar characteristics. The square is usually the stage for various shows, such as theatrical plays, celebrations, or choir group performances. In the day-to-day it is used by the locals for resting.
