Cripple Cove Traditional Cache

Another one of several historic and picturesque caches on Cape Ann

Cripple Cove is located at the head of Gloucester Harbor's South Channel. It is home to commercial and recreational boats. There has been a careenage here for over 350 years where boats can beach out at high tide allowing work to be done on the bottom of the boat as the water receeds. Regular maintenance may include bottom cleaning, painting with antifouling paint, inspecting the propellor and keel cooling pipes etc. The Cove also hosts a public landing and a nice park/playground along East Main Street so please be mindful of muggles.

The cache is a micro and blends in well with its environment. I have endeavoured to make this cache as wheel chair friendly as possible although crossing a patch of well groomed lawn will be necessary and it may take a bit of a reach, it should be quite doable for everyone but look hard it's very stealth.
