Geocache Description:

This is a nice walk (with 6 caches thrown in) that starts at the parking lot for the New Hampshire Farm Museum and goes down to Jones Brook and loops back to the Museum. The director of the Museum was kind enough to allow us to place caches here, but asks that if you enter the Museum area (The area of the buildings and fields) you pay the small admission fee.

The New Hampshire Farm Museum is a non-profit 501 c3 educational organization dedicated to preserving, promoting and carrying forward New Hampshire's rural and agricultural heritage.
The NH Farm Museum consists of two adjoining farmsteads situated on 50 acres located on Plummer's Ridge in Milton, New Hampshire. The historic Jones Farm and the Plummer Homestead date to the late 18th century and are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The farms were passed down in the same families for generations.

Trail Directions:
The walk starts at the back of the parking lot, on the Wallwalk Trail (blue/white snowflake blazes) for a short ways and then turns right on the Jones River Trail (Yellow blazes/yellow arrows).  Follow Jones River Trail until it reaches a dirt road, (watch for sand trucks) turn left on road, cross under Rt. 16 bridge and re-enter trail on right at stairs. Continue to follow trail to old logging road (start of the loop) turn left, then right (rock pile) and right again onto trail (do not cross RR tracks) to Jones Brook. There the trail adjoins the brook before turning sharp right (from here the blazes are sparse), away from the brook to make the loop back to the logging road. Turn left, back onto the trail (where loop started) to return to the museum. Feel free to stop in and talk to the people at the Museum as they are very informative and friendly. Hope you enjoy your visit to the farm, the trails and caches! :)

Placed within sight of the Jones River. The cache is something I cannot say I thought of myself, but saw one like it that looked like fun. No need to remove the cache from the location and everything you need to sign the log is there(No other tools required, except for pen/pencil)!Please, return log as found for the next cacher. This will be winter friendly in any snow condition.
