Geocache Description:

Easy P&G gas-saver for GC34PHF and others on Hogback's old ski trails. (Replacement for my archived GC34VK2.) Be Aware - Hunting Alllowed out here!

2010 Original Listing: I found this cellar hole while exploring in 2010, and could only wonder how old it really was. The birch tree growing on top of the foundation must be 150 years old, if not more - and the foundation itself is really different with that huge thing in the center. Fireplace base? Any ideas? Never saw one quite like this.

2013 update - There is a new sign up at the TH with maps and info about the site This is the old Bishop Farm from the 1790-1800 era, so my tree age guess was pretty good. The cellar hole is a Marlboro College Study Area, please do not disturb. There are many old stone walls and foundations nearby. Enjoy the history!
