Geocache Description:

A nice new little park in North Reading.  It has been around for a while but without access or trails.  Recently a trail was marked that takes you to the shore of the pond and around the west side of the pond.  The cache is a little bit off the trail tucked among some small rocks. .

Park at the end of the Burnham Drive cul-de-sac. The trail begins behind the fire hydrant at the woodline between the two houses. As you approach another house on the trail a fire road (the continuation of Oakdale Road) heads off to the right. Currently the trail is marked by green ribbons on trees. Trail is easy with little elevation changes. The pond is a quiet little pond with some ducks and signs of beaver activity. If you continue beyond the cache there is a small stream crossing over some rocks. First container placed was muggled February 2017 so I moved it a bit. Now it is behind the old foundation hole. Cache is a small lock-n-lock container I won at an event a while ago. Not winter friendly if snow is more than a few inches deep. Enjoy your walk through this lightly used area!
