A 40 minute easy walk, mostly on the flat, will take you to the outlet of Lake Sylvan. The lake is very photogenic, especially when it's calm and you can see the clouds reflecting.
Please close the container well to maintain waterproofness - it takes four clicks to fully close - and replace well so it does not roll out with the next bout of interesting weather.

You can continue to Rockburn Hut and Theatre Flat, or do a loop and return via Sugarloaf Track to end up at Routeburn Road End. The hut was closed due to weather damage at the time of placing, so please check before heading up that way.
