The North East (of Victoria) has some very talented and passionate geocachers, and in the spirit of Maker Madness we would like to celebrate them and get as many together as possible, to share ideas and possibly show some as well.
At Beechworth S.C. there are a group of young and enthusiastic new geocachers who are looking to the experience and creativity of others to help them develop their own caches for the Beechworth community. If anyone wishes to bring along any of their creative hides that they haven’t placed yet that would be fantastic. Even pictures of great caches you have found would be good to share.
This event is a great opportunity for new and experienced geocachers across the region to meet and discuss future plans for making the area we live in an even more attractive place to visit, and discover the hidden gems we have here.
At GZ you will find yourself at “The Beach” at Lake Sambell. There is a kid’s playground, BBQ’s and restrooms all in the one area. It’s a perfect place for a BBQ or picnic on the day. The Beechworth shops aren’t too far away either.
On the day we will bring a few of the school kayaks down for people to have a play on the lake, this may also be part of the games we have planned for the day so bring a change of clothes if you’d like to participate.
Cachers are also encouraged to bring along their bikes and enjoy the rail trail where a number of the BSC caches have been placed recently.
Hope to see you there! :-)
