A Diversity of Habitat & Wildlife Waiting to be Discovered
In 1989, Mr. Greville Jones donated half a section of land to the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation (SWF).  The SWF in cooperation with the Tisdale and District Branch, is responsible for preserving and managing a mosaic of aspen woodland, grassland and wetland habitat.  Nearly 200 bird species, 50 mammal, five amphibian, two reptile and hundreds of insect and invertebrate species call this sanctuary home.
To assist the public in viewing wildlife and enjoying the wonders of nature in this varied landscape, a series of self-guided nature trails has been developed.  Each trail winds its way through one of the unique habitats found on the sanctuary.  Interpretive brochures highlight habitat features and some of the interesting wildlife found in each area.

NOTICE: In accordance with the new Provincial Trespass Act, we ask that any non SWF members please contact permission@swf.sk.ca for written permission to access SWF lands. Existing members already have written permission on their membership card. Please visit www.swf.sk.ca for more info.
