Famous Berkshire Residents #17 Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

smudge42: Sadly, I have decided to archive this cache. The original hints have changed.

The person in question was John Blagrave, an eminent 16th century mathematician who was born at Bulmershe Court, hence the initial co-ordinates.

I particularly like the sub-title to his third publication - it seems very apt for geocaching, Astrolabium Uranicum Generale: a necessary and pleasant solace and recreation for navigators in their long journeying (1596)

Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the published coordinates.

This is the 17th mystery cache in the Famous Berkshire Resident series.

Our famous resident X was a Berkshire resident for all but a short period of their life, during which they left to study at university, however they did not complete their studies.

Person X is said to be 'of an ancient and honourable family'.

Person X was of benevolent disposition. They bestowed a legacy on the town of Reading which involved a game of dice?

Person X wrote four major pieces of work. As a Geocacher, I particularly like the sub-title to one of them (See questions).

Buried in a church in Reading along with his mother, where there is a monument erected to his memory.

Identify the following:

From his 3rd publication
Number of words in the title (A)
Number of words in the sub-title (B)
Year of publication (C=first two digits, D=last two digits)
month of death (E)
last two digits of year of death (F)

The cache can be located at N51 2x.xxx W000 5y.yyy

where x.xxx = ( ((D+F-B) * C * (E-A)) -1) /1000
and y.yyy = ( (D+E) * (B*A + C) -F -1) /1000
