Geocache Description:

This initial event of the Hike and Seek 2014 weekend is for everyone, especially those arriving early for the main caching event Saturday, GC506AP.

PALM TREES IN IOWA?

The Barefoot Bar at Parks Marina is a local favorite gathering place on the west shore of East Okoboji where the guys can look at new boats, gals can shop, and kids can play in the playground. Drinks and sometimes food are available.

This official Meet n Greet at the Foot gathering will occur from 3:00 til 4:30 on Friday. The bar opens at 3, but the store opens earlier, rain or shine. If the weather is too inclement to be outdoors, an alternative site will be announced on this web site.

A bonus for geocachers is to log the official webcam cache nearby, GCJB66. Note that a valid log for that webcam cache requires that the finder appears in a picture taken BY the webcam, not OF the webcam. It is highly recommended that you try capturing the webcam photo before arriving since the format is somewhat tricky.
