Geocache Description:

A little small & tricky but an easy grab.

One of the Caches in the Boothbay Region Corridor series. These caches will lead you down the peninsula through Edgecomb, Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor and Southport. Bordered by the Sheepscot and Damariscotta rivers, and the Atlantic Ocean, this is one of the most beautiful areas in the Midcoast of Maine, offering a multitude of nature walks and vistas, entertainments, and dining. A wonderful place to visit, but also a great place to live!

Previously called Freetown, Edgecomb was originally settled in 1744 and incorporated in 1774. Included Westport until 1828.
