Geocache Description:

This location is the start of a long journey. It's a journey that affects the lives of many people in different ways. (It's the longest journey of it's sort in California.)

This virtual cache location in Mount Shasta is a great place to stop for a few minutes, or maybe a bit longer. It's very close to the freeway, with easy on and off.

The cache location is very peaceful and serene, but there's plenty of places nearby to stop for a picnic, let the kids play, etc... Mount Shasta also has great antique shops, "new age" type stores, (Mount Shasta is a very mystical city. It even has a bonafide Zen Buddhist Monestary!) and other shops. There are lots of great restaurants and cafe's as well. (I personally reccommend the Black Bear Diner. Lots of great food at very reasonable prices.)

To "find" this cache, please email me with the answer to the following two questions. Please don't post your answer as part of your visit report, even if encrypted.

1: What is the journey that starts at this location??
2: (For those of you who already know the answer to number 1 without visiting... :) Who was the water fountain at the location dedicated to??

Enjoy the cache. It's a great break from the freeway.
