Take the Bullock Creek Rd (42 06.003, 171 20.527) which is off SH6 just north of Punakaiki. The road is prone to flooding after wet weather and it is advised that you check in with the DOC information office (42 06.914, 171 19.785) before setting off, esp. if you have a 2 wheel drive vehicle. Bullock Creek Rd is about 6 km long. Park at 42 05.820, 171 24.194. From here the cache is about 15mins away, it is a gentle walk down hill.

Warning: Keep to the track as the area is peppered with limestone sink holes, please read the information board at the parking area for more info. The cache is on the edge of the track.
Once you get to the cache you may wish to continue on the Cave Creek track to see some of the West Coast's most beautiful Native Forest. If you do decided to make the trip down to Cave Creek, I ask that you treat the area with the upmost respect it is a very special place for many people, in New Zealand and around the world. Please leave the remembrance tokens that family and friends have placed there in peace. There are many other walks in this area of varying length, from day trips to overnighters.
