Geocache Description:

Just sit right back and---STOP! go on with the story.

It all started out rather innocently. There is a Golden Oldie cache atop Buck Mtn down in Addison County, and I am working on the G.O. Challenge. The cache appeared to be pretty straightforward, but it DID warn several times about how easily one can be tempted by false trails. After about 20 minutes of hiking, I came to realize that I was not going in the most logical direction of the summit. However, the trails were very nice and there were plenty of good hiding spots, so I decided to hide a cache. I just gave it a generic number, knowing that something would eventually inspire me to name it. Several hours, miles, and caches later I realized my plan for a three hour "hike and hunt" cache was turning into something altogether different.

I decided that as long as I was going to keep bushwhacking around in circles, I might as well have something to show for it. Thus was born The 3-Hour Tour cache series. I hid a cache for each of the castaways so if one is missing it's because it didn't get published.

There is no rhyme or reason to the location of these hides. Many aren't even on a well-used trail. A few times while meandering about, I came across what appeared to be a main trail and so I would place a cache on it and TRY to stay on it. But those tempting off-shoot trails always get me. I can't tell you the best way to get to any of these. If you are really stuck and can get me on the phone, I'll tell you how *I* happened to find the spot, which may not be the most logical way.

I can guarantee you the following: You will not find a cache on posted land. You WILL have to bushwhack at various points. You will swear at me (Or at least ABOUT me) from time to time. If you are with the right people, you will have fun. Your feet will probably get wet or muddy, depending on time of year. Some caches can be found year round, some might get lost if the snow is too deep. Check your attributes for each cache.

The Skipper will need a big space to accommodate his size. But that doesn't mean his log book container is big. If you have trouble accessing the log book, PLEASE read the hint before trying to disassemble poor Skipper.

A BIG THANKS TO CARD54 FOR THE PIC ABOVE.
