Geocache Description:

Rumack: Can you fly this plane, and land it?

Ted Striker: Surely you can't be serious.

Rumack: I am serious... and don't call me Shirley.

It's time for us to give back to the wonderful geocaching community.  This is our very first cache, and it is a simple park and grab.  We are just cutting our teeth with this placement - we have an entire series planned for Shirley, MA.

We've taken our time placing our first caches because we wanted to be sure that we were ready, both for the responsibility that comes along with cache placement - and we wanted to be sure that we did it right too!  One of our pet peeves is a cache where the coordinates are off by a country mile.  We will take great care and pride in all of our caches.  The coordinates should be good according to the various online mapping technologies out there.

We have planned these caches around the movie Airplane!  Since most people throw out Airplane! one-liners when we say that we lived in Shirley, we thought it would be a fun way to give back to the caching community.  Each cache will contain a movie quote (though please forgive cache naming liberties that we might need to take - they allow only so many characters!)

There is an area for pulling off the road at the cache site, but as with any cache placed near a busy road - please use caution and common sense.  The placement is winter friendly, but snow will make for tough parking.  We see people go fishing in this area.  It's near the Nashua river just off Rt. 2A.  Bring some tweezers - it's a nano. Happy caching!
